in the garden, i did no crime...

Added my review of Clint Eastwood's Mystic River. It's perhaps the most pretentious movie released this year. And no, that's not a good thing!

I've also decided to try and write shorter reviews of movies. This would allow me to write more reviews, without too much sacrifice in quality. I tend to go on and on sometimes. Self-restraint shall be my new virtue.

However, just as I'm preparing to be more prolific, flyout week approaches. What does this mean? No updates for an entire week (starting Sunday).

Also, it's getting cold here in Cambridge. It's currently 39 degrees outside. That's about the coldest that it gets in Texas...ever. And we're still in October! And I just checked the weather forecast for tomorrow. I quote: "Rain and snow showers in the morning." Snow showers??? What the hell are snow showers? Why is the word "snow" even in there!? We're in October! Jesus.

Oh, and today is the third time in so many weeks that I overhear random people talking trash about Stanford. Haha! When one guy last week said the word "Stanford," he had this horrid look of utter disgust on his face. It was as if he was morally offended by the very name. How odd. I actually think it's kind of funny. People at Stanford were always very dismissive of Harvard, as if they hadn't even considered applying here (when of course, we know better). The same seems to hold for Harvard students, especially when I mention that I've transferred. Lesson to be learned: don't be dismissive. It betrays more than you're willing to share.
