To those going to Vegas (like Jim): Don't go to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. It's pointless, unimpressive, and pricey. Go to Sea World instead. However, you need to go the Rainforest Cafe at the MGM Grand, and order the Chicken Fried Steak. It is a godsend. I kid you not. Plus, the MGM Grand is the best hotel/casino there.

I always associate Las Vegas with my favorite movie of the 1990s: Mike Figgis' Leaving Las Vegas. It's an experience like no other--it's depressingly fun, if that makes any sense. You will lose yourself, and you will love it. It's a wholly Dionysian experience...
